Proposed St. Pauls Centre extension – “we’re nearly there!”

Proposed St. Pauls Centre extension

“we’re nearly there!”

Thanks to grants and donations from many organisations and the amazing support of the people of Spennymoor, it is hoped you will be able to see work starting on the much needed extension before too long.

Durham County Council, the National Lottery, local Councillors and Businesses, the Area Action Partnership,  the Benefact Trust, Veolia Environmental Trust and community fund raising have all helped to make this possible.

However, one task remains – raising the funds for fixtures and fittings.

The extension will create valuable storage space for the Foodbank and more room for the many activities and groups that meet in the Centre. The Foodbank opens every Friday morning 10-12noon to provide emergency food and other basic supplies to individuals and families in crisis. Advice and support to help people deal with benefit claims and much, much more is also available there from staff of the Cornforth Partnership.

St Pauls Centre Foodbank Volunteers are hoping to raise funds towards the fixtures and fittings for the new extension by inviting people to a Coffee morning in  the Centre on Saturday 29th March 10.00 – 12noon.

You can be sure of a warm welcome, good company and stalls to tempt you.

Thank you to the people of Spennymoor for your ongoing support.
